Browser Architect Consultant
Azingo, Inc., the new leader in the development of open-source software for the next-generation of mobile phones, has an outstanding long-term (6+ months) consulting opportunity as a Browser Architect.
We are looking for a consultant with a successful track record and expertise in the following areas:
- Platform porting experience of WebKit or Mozilla
- Architecture & design of any commercial-grade browser components
- Contributions to any of projects: KHTML, KJS, Mozilla, fennec, Gecko, WebKit, Safari, Android WebKit, Google Chromium, Openwave, Opera, Trident
Required Core Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of HTTP, SSL, curl, HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, DOM, JavaScript, W3C specs
- Linux & mobile development exposure
- Extensive knowledge of windowing systems/toolkits (GTK, QT) & graphics (cairo, skia, openGL)
- Parsing, tree algorithms, lex/yacc
- End to end browser architecture
Highly Desired Background:
- Achieved “WebKit Committer" or "WebKit Reviewer" status
- Experience as a module owner or a peer in Mozilla browser
