Prior to forming Garnett & Helfrich Capital with his partner David Helfrich in 2003, Terry spent eight years with Venrock Associates where he was an early investor in Siebel, Checkpoint Software, Niku, Neoforma, and Neon Software. He was also actively involved in forming and funding Crossworlds Software with his wife, Katrina Garnett, Crossworlds’ founder and CEO. Crossworlds Software went public in 2000 and was acquired by IBM in 2001. Prior to Venrock, Terry served as senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Business Development at Oracle Corporation, reporting to Larry Ellison, in addition to being a member of the Executive Management Committee.
David Helfrich, Director
David Helfrich brings over 20 years of experience investing in and building, technology companies. David helped found and build a number of the most successful and innovative networking companies in the industry - Newbridge Networks, Ascend Communications, Centrum Communications/3Com, and Copper Mountain Networks. He has also played a key role in starting and building two private equity investment funds - Garnett & Helfrich Capital and ComVentures. Prior to co-founding Garnett & Helfrich Capital he was managing member of ComVentures, an early stage venture capital fund. There he was responsible for investments in a number of innovative startup companies.
Mahesh Veerina, Chief Executive Officer
Mahesh is the founder and CEO of Azingo, Inc. Mahesh is a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and technology executive with over 18 years experience in the technology industry. Prior to Azingo, Mahesh was Vice President at Nokia Internet Communications for the small office products division. Mahesh has founded two successful technology companies over the last 10 years. Mahesh was the Founder, President and CEO of Ramp Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAMP) from 1996-2001. Ramp Networks was a pioneer in the Internet access and security appliances for the small office and enterprise remote office market segments. Mahesh grew Ramp from a small technology startup to a publicly traded company with market capitalization of over US$450M. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) acquired Ramp Networks in 2001. Mahesh was founding CEO and Chairman of FlowWise Networks, Inc., an IP routing acceleration company from 1994-1997. Network Equipment Technologies (NASDAQ: NET) acquired FlowWise Networks in 1998. Early in his career Mahesh held several engineering and technology lead positions at Amdahl Corporation and Synoptics. Mahesh has also co-founded, advised, and served on the boards of several venture-backed technology startups in Silicon Valley. Mahesh has a MS degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He also holds a MS degree in Electronics from Andhra University, India.
