Mahesh Veerina, Chief Executive Officer

Mahesh is the founder and CEO of Azingo, Inc. Mahesh is a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and technology executive with over 18 years experience in the technology industry. Prior to Azingo, Mahesh was Vice President at Nokia Internet Communications for the small office products division. Mahesh has founded two successful technology companies over the last 10 years. Mahesh was the Founder, President and CEO of Ramp Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAMP) from 1996-2001. Ramp Networks was a pioneer in the Internet access and security appliances for the small office and enterprise remote office market segments. Mahesh grew Ramp from a small technology startup to a publicly traded company with market capitalization of over US$450M. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) acquired Ramp Networks in 2001. Mahesh was founding CEO and Chairman of FlowWise Networks, Inc., an IP routing acceleration company from 1994-1997. Network Equipment Technologies (NASDAQ: NET) acquired FlowWise Networks in 1998. Early in his career Mahesh held several engineering and technology lead positions at Amdahl Corporation and Synoptics. Mahesh has also co-founded, advised, and served on the boards of several venture-backed technology startups in Silicon Valley. Mahesh has a MS degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He also holds a MS degree in Electronics from Andhra University, India.

Sridhar Bathina, Vice President and General Manager India Operations

Sridhar (Sri) is a co-founder and Vice President and General Manager of India Operations at Azingo. He has over 20 years of experience in the networking industry at various levels of responsibilities from engineering to management. Sri has strong technical leadership and management skills with an entrepreneurial sprit. Prior to joining Azingo, Sri was Director of R&D at Nokia in their Enterprise Solutions division where he was responsible for delivering Nokia’s IP-VPN and SSL-VPN solutions for the enterprise market. He also led the development effort on Mobility Gateway solutions based on the Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) specifications for the operator markets. Sri also served as the Country Manager for the Nokia Enterprise Solutions R&D center in Hyderabad, India, where he built a team of 120 employees delivering wide variety of projects including security protocols, network protocols, operating system support, and network management. Prior to Nokia, Sri was co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at Ramp Networks (NASDAQ: RAMP). Ramp Networks was a pioneer in easy to use Internet Access and Security appliances for the SOHO and enterprise remote office markets. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) acquired Ramp in 2001. Sri has held senior engineering positions at Netlabs and AT&T Bells Labs, specializing in network and systems management. Sri has an M.S in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelors degree in Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India.

Ravi Gopalakrishnan, Vice President of Engineering

Ravi Gopalakrishnan is Vice President of Engineering at Azingo. A 15 year veteran of the wireless industry, Gopalakrishnan brings strong relationships with leading carriers, handset vendors and software suppliers in addition to significant expertise in multimedia mobile platforms for mid and high-end handsets. He joins Azingo from Motorola, where he was director of Mobile Devices for Motorola Japan with responsibility for leading the requirements, carrier compliance, development and delivery of the MOTORAZR FOMA product to NTT DoCoMo. Prior to this position, Gopalakrishnan held a variety of engineering management positions at Motorola where he led large global teams on software development, product integration and handset acceptance to carriers all over the world. He has successfully led the architecture, development and commercial deployment of key technologies like GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA on Motorola's mobile devices with carriers worldwide. He is well respected in the mobile community for his track record of delivering on key technologies in the mobile industry. He holds a master of science degree in Physics from IIT Kanpur, a master of science degree in Computer Engineering from IISc in Bangalore and a masters of business administration from Chicago.

Scott Gorton, Vice President of Finance

Scott has spent more than 23 years guiding the financial planning and fiscal execution of a number of leading Silicon Valley companies including Savvio, Ramp Networks, Adaptec, Siemens, and IBM/ROLM. Scott has earned a BA with honors in Accounting from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Krish R. Kupathil, Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Business Development

Krish is Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Business Development at Azingo, focused on forging relationships with chipset vendors, handset vendors, mobile operators, and other applications vendors. Krish has over 20 years of experience in building businesses and forging strategic alliances of which the last 6 years have been in the Linux software industry. Prior to joining Azingo, he was Sr. Vice President – Worldwide Sales and Strategic Alliances for FSMLabs Inc., the creators of RTLinux. His recent focus has been on developing markets for Linux based embedded software in mobile, automation and control industries. He pioneered the introduction of a Linux distribution (Turbolinux) for the first time in India, China, and Europe. While working for FSMLabs he created a worldwide network of end users, developers, and customers for RTLinux Pro, significantly increasing revenues of the company and in the process getting RTLinux voted as the most sought after Real Time OS for 2006 in a survey conducted by the online magazine Linux Devices (2005). He has been an advisor to the executives of Turbolinux in China and the US and he has run his own successful consultancy practice with operations in Europe, Singapore, India, China, and South Africa. Krish graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Delhi University and also earned a CPA degree in India.

Marc Levante, Senior Vice President

Marc Levante is senior vice president of Azingo. A 20-year veteran of the mobile communications industry, Marc brings significant executive experience in technology development, network deployment and global implementation for broadband and mobile Internet applications. Known as an exceptional strategist and evangelist, Marc has grown the market by developing advanced product, network and ecosystem requirements as well as personally championing the cooperative adoption of important mobile industry standards. Marc was vice president of technology for Vodafone, where he developed solutions with product management and marketing teams that were implemented globally across all mobile network functions. From Vodafone, he joined OpenWave as CTO, where he shaped the roadmap and development strategy of software applications for handset manufacturers and mobile broadband and fixed-line operators. Most recently, Levante was CEO of myZenPlanet, a company specializing in applications to mobilize social networking Internet services.

Michael McLaughlin, Vice President Product Marketing

Michael Mclaughlin is vice president of product marketing. A seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and executive, Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in product development, marketing and business development for technology companies. Michael leads Azingo’s product marketing efforts as well as its participation in the LiMo foundation. Prior to joining Azingo, Michael was vice president of marketing and business development at Glimmerglass, Inc. a pioneer in next generation optical switching products. Prior to joining Glimmerglass, Michael engaged in a number of entrepreneurial efforts, founding and participating in the building of a number of technology companies. He also founded and was a managing partner of Formational Ventures, a Sand Hill Road investment company. Earlier in his career, Michael held engineering, product management and product strategy positions at IBM, Siemens and ROLM Corporation. He holds six patents in the areas of telecom, mobile phone network and computer display innovations and is responsible for numerous trademarked brand names. He holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Tom Okada, Vice President Sales and Business Development

Tom is Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Azingo. He brings hard-won knowledge of the Asian mobile industry as well as a deep understanding of how to supply quality software to demanding mobile phone customers. Prior to joining Azingo, Tom was General Manager of Mobile Devices in Japan. Tom was also a Managing Director of the Motorola Japan board and Vice President of Motorola Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Under Tom’s leadership, Motorola launched the M1000, the first UMTS/WiFi smart phone in Japan in 2005 and the highly successful MOTORAZR FOMA products in 2006. Tom also played a key role in the initial stage of the LiMo Foundation of which Azingo is a core member. Prior to his general manager role, Tom was a senior engineering and a program manager at Motorola Mobile, and was responsible for the Wireless System Development Center, with a primary focus to develop WCDMA technology with NTT DoCoMo. There, Tom established the team at Yokosuka Research Park, managing the program and integrating the team with 3G development in other parts of the world. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University with follow-on Master’s studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Tom holds 4 US patents.

Gabi Schindler, Chief Marketing Officer

Gabi Schindler is chief marketing officer for Azingo with responsibility for corporate marketing, product marketing, and ecosystem development worldwide. Gabi brings extensive technology marketing experience, leveraging her experience driving the worldwide communications programs of public and private companies. Gabi joined Azingo from Saba, a human capital management software and services provider, where she served as chief marketing officer with responsibility for global product marketing, field marketing and corporate marketing. Prior to Saba, Gabi was senior vice president of worldwide marketing at PalmSource, Inc. a spin-off of Palm Inc., where she focused on building mobile operating systems for mobile phones and devices. Previously she held executive positions at Apple and AT&T. She began her career as a principal at Regis McKenna, a Silicon Valley public relations firm, where she managed strategic marketing and communications efforts for companies such as IBM and Apple.
